Bridge System

Anchorage System of Suspension Bridge

The anchorage system consists of two parts: the cable strand connection structure and the prestressed steel strand structure. It is a structure used in large suspension bridges to connect the main cable and the anchorage concrete pier, and to transfer the load of the main cable to the anchorage concrete pier.

According to the different hole pouring materials, it can be divided into two types: non-bonded anchorage system and bonded anchorage system. The non-bonded anchorage system pours special anti-corrosion grease into the pre-buried hole to protect the system, and the bonded anchorage system pours cement slurry into the pre-buried hole to protect the system.

ADVANTAGES

Features of anchorage system:

1. The system has a simple structure, clear force, less steel, easy installation, and excellent anchorage performance under low stress.

2. Excellent corrosion resistance and durability.

The prestressed steel strands in the prestressed anchorage system pipeline have three layers of protection: epoxy coating, anti-corrosion grease and steel pipe, which greatly improves the corrosion resistance and durability of the system; to prevent grease leakage, the main sealing surface is sealed with a copper gasket to achieve a reliable leak-proof effect.

3. "Monitorable" and "replaceable" performance.

Monitorable means that the anti-corrosion grease can be sampled and tested at any time, and the force sensor can be used to monitor the stress condition of the anchorage system. Replaceable means that, first, by detecting the changes in the grease indicators, the grease in the pipeline can be replaced if necessary; second, by monitoring the cable force changes at any time through the force sensor or after decades, the steel strands can be sampled and inspected. If it is necessary to replace them, the prestressed steel strands can be replaced one by one, and the replacement will not affect the normal operation of the bridge.

USE

Structure of anchorage system:

  • The anchorage anchorage system consists of two parts: cable strand connection structure and prestressed steel bundle structure.

  • The cable strand connection structure consists of a tie rod assembly and a connector; the prestressed steel bundle structure consists of epoxy steel strands, anchors, anti-loosening devices, embedded steel pipes, anti-corrosion grease, protective covers, copper washers, etc.

  • The upper end of the tie rod is connected to the anchor plate on the cable strand anchor head, and the other end is connected to the connector anchored by the prestressed steel bundle on the front anchor surface.

  • The tension of the main cable strand is transmitted to the prestressed steel bundle structure through the cable strand connection structure, and then dispersed into the anchor body.
