External prestressing is one of the important branches of post tensioned prestressing systems. Compared with internal prestressing structures, its prestressing tendons are located outside the main section of the load-bearing structure, and the prestressing is transmitted through anchoring zones and turning blocks directly or indirectly connected to the main section of the structure.
The anchoring system of external prestressed cables generally includes protective covers, loose prevention devices, specialized anchors for external cables, anchor plates, and embedded pipes.

External prestressed cables are located outside the concrete structure and may only bond with the structure at the anchorage and turning blocks. They are a separate component relative to the overall structure.
1，The external prestressing system adopts non bonded steel strands and an anti-corrosion structure in the anchorage zone, which is safe and reliable, with good anti-corrosion and anti fatigue performance. Special devices are designed in the system to effectively reduce the harm caused by cable vibration.
