Product Tips

As a supplier we have been deeply involved in the prestressed industry for many years, our anchors have been well received by customers and have received many return orders from customers. We are well aware that the model is not only a string of codes, but also the "identity card" of the anchor to adapt to the needs of the project - only by choosing the right model can the anchor play an accurate role in the project.
In this article, we use the most intuitive way to help you understand the "password" of the anchor model. Simply, the anchor model is a comprehensive identification that combines key information such as structural form, steel strand specifications, and number of holes. Based on this information, you can quickly determine the applicable scenarios of the anchor. The specific rules are as follows:
Three core dimensions of model identification
The model of the anchor contains three key information:
- The first letter: represents the structural type of the anchor (such as round, flat) or the applicable scenario;
- The first half of the number: corresponds to the diameter of the steel strand (such as 15 represents 15.2mm, 13 represents 12.7mm);
- The second half of the number: represents the number of holes (i.e. the number of steel strands).
Ⅰ. Model rules classified by structural form
According to the structural characteristics of different projects, our anchor model designs also have different focuses:
1. Round anchor
This is our most widely used basic model, with the code "YJM" and "YM" ("Y" is the first letter of "round", which is a common industry logo. Our products all use standardized codes to facilitate unified management by customers).
Example: YM15-5 - suitable for 15.2mm steel strands, 5-hole design, commonly used in bridge beams and prestressed frames of large buildings; YM13-9 - suitable for 12.7mm steel strands, 9-hole specifications, suitable for prefabricated components with medium loads.
2. Flat anchor
For space-constrained scenarios such as transverse prestressing of bridge decks and thin beams, our flat anchors are coded "BJM" and "BM" ("B" stands for "flat"), which are thinner and more adaptable.
Example: BJM15-4——Specially for 15.2mm steel strands, 4-hole flat design, can reduce the thickness of the beam, especially suitable for bridge deck construction of municipal bridges; BM13-3——Adapted to 12.7mm steel strands, 3-hole specifications, not easy to conflict with the steel skeleton during installation.
3. Fixed-end anchor (grip type)
As the "fixed fulcrum" of prestressed structures, this type of anchor code often contains "J" and "P" (the first letters of "fixed" and "embedded"). Our products have been specially treated in terms of grip and durability, and are suitable for long-term stress scenarios.
Example: JYM15P-6——Special for 15.2mm steel strands, 6-hole fixed end design, embedded through extrusion sleeves, commonly used for bridge bearing anchorage; OVM13P-8 (customized)——Adapted to 12.7mm steel strands, 8-hole specifications, the size can be adjusted according to the embedded depth of the customer's project.
Ⅱ. Model rules for matching steel strand specifications
Different projects have different requirements for the strength and diameter of steel strands. Our models strictly correspond to mainstream specifications to ensure accurate adaptation:
- 15 series: corresponding to 15.2mm (1860MPa grade) steel strands, such as YM15-12 (12 holes), which is a common model for large-span bridges and high-rise buildings;
- 13 series: corresponding to 12.7mm steel strands, such as YM13-9 (9 holes), suitable for small and medium-sized prefabricated components;
- Unconventional specifications: For special projects (such as water conservancy dams and heavy workshops), we support customized 17.8mm, 21.6mm and other models, such as YM17-5 and YM21-4, to ensure that they are fully matched with customers' steel strands.
Ⅲ. Model rules of fine-rolled threaded steel bar anchors
For scenarios where steel strands are not required, our fine-rolled threaded steel bar anchors are coded with "YGM" and "LM", which directly correspond to the diameter of the steel bar, making installation more convenient:
- Example: YGM25 - suitable for PSB830/930 grade fine-rolled threaded steel bars with a diameter of 25mm, commonly used for temporary anchoring of large concrete structures; LM32 - suitable for 32mm steel bars, widely used in temporary consolidation construction of bridges.
Ⅳ. Customized model description for special scenarios
In addition to the conventional models, we have also developed special models for special projects:
- Cable anchors: with "XL" code (such as XLJM15-19), the number of holes can reach dozens of holes, suitable for the high load requirements of bridge cable;
- Mining anchors: starting with "KM" (such as KM22-1/2), suitable for 22mm mining anchors, the anti-corrosion performance has been specially enhanced to adapt to the humid environment underground.
Summary
In fact, the essence of the model is "precise matching" - choosing the right anchor makes the project more worry-free, which is why many customers are willing to choose us again. We hope that these rules can help you quickly select the model, and we also want to let you know: no matter how complex the project scene is, we can provide the corresponding model solution.
