Applications of left-lay steel strands：

Applications of right-lay steel strands：
Right-lay wire ropes are usually stronger and more durable than left-lay wire ropes, so they are usually used in situations such as lifting and traction that need to bear heavy loads.
In most building structures, such as high-rise buildings and bridges, right-lay steel strands are a more commonly used choice. This is because their mechanical property data are more mature and widely used in the design and specifications of the construction industry. Engineers are more familiar with the performance of right-lay steel strands, which is convenient for structural calculation and design.
In the shaft hoisting equipment of mines, right-lay steel strands are widely used. They can meet the requirements of hoisting equipment for the strength, toughness and stability of steel strands, ensuring the safe hoisting operations of ores, personnel, etc.
