Ultrafiltration membranes primarily operate on a screening mechanism, falling between microfiltration and nanofiltration. Water purification is determined by operating pressure and membrane pore size. In some material separation systems, membranes with different pore sizes can selectively separate specific products. Due to their small pore size, they are primarily used to remove suspended solids, colloids, microorganisms, macromolecules, bacteria, and viruses from aqueous solutions.

Model Selection Recommendations:
- If the molecular weight of large organic molecules in the water being treated is between 10,000 and 30,000, the YX-UF-20K (MWCO 20,000) is preferred, as it accurately intercepts target substances.
- Membrane filaments with smaller inner/outer diameters (e.g., 0.4 / 0.6 mm) are suitable for compact equipment, provide faster water flow, and are ideal for low-contamination water. Membrane filaments with larger outer diameters (e.g., 3.5 / 5.0 mm) are more resistant to clogging and are suitable for high-turbidity water.
